Elizabeth Craigmyle graduated in law from Strathclyde University in 1977. She gained a Diploma in Forensic Medical Science from Glasgow University in 2005. Elizabeth's background is predominantly private client work and she advises on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, executries and residential conveyancing. Elizabeth has a special interest in all aspects of the law relating to disability and since 1998 she has been a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Mental Health and Disability Sub Committee and she sits on the Society's panel relative to accreditation in Incapacity Law.

 

Kathleen McArthur

A graduate of  Aberdeen University, Kathleen has been specialising in wills, trusts and executries since 2001, having undergone a general training involving other areas of law, including conveyancing and family law work. Kathleen has been an associate of the firm since 2004 and a partner since April 2008, and deals with all aspects of Private Client work, including Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney, Executries and Trusts. She is also a Private Client Tutor on the Diploma in Legal Practice Course at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law.

Christine Darby

Christine Darby returned to Edinburgh University to study law after a previous career in health education and qualified in 1986. A partner in the firm she has over 20 years experience in residential conveyancing and also acts for several mortgage lenders. She oversees the conveyancing and estate agency departments in the firm and favours a hands-on approach to clients' transactions. Her previous experience gives her a more broad based approach to clients and their problems and she appreciates that clients prefer a solicitor who is approachable and understands the need for plain English wherever possible.

Bethia Hamilton

Having entered the Law Society in 1984, Beth tutored at the University of Glasgow and subsequently Glasgow Graduate School of Law, on the Diploma in Legal Practice in the subjects of Private Client, Taxation and Financial Services.  She held the position of Senior Co-ordinating Tutor for over ten years but has now resigned to concentrate on work within the firm.  Beth joined our Dunblane Office in 1999 as a part-time assistant concentrating in the fields of Wills, Trusts, Executries and Taxation.  She became a partner in 2005 and now works full time.  She presents seminars to members of the profession in all areas of Private Client work.  Beth is a member of the Society of Trust and Executry Practitioners.

Catherine Young Kerr
